Named after the Mesabi Iron Range, which played a vital role in supplying the majority of iron ore for World War II, this collection features a smooth texture that reflects the rich industrial history of the region. Just as the minerals of the Mesabi Range were oxidized through geological processes to create enriched ore, the deep, earthy tones of Mesabi Elm evoke a sense of strength and endurance. The wood's consistent and understated surface mirrors the enduring productivity of the region, making it a fitting tribute to the heart of Minnesota’s iron mining legacy.

The Vermilion Iron Range, once home to a fleeting Gold Rush, later became the site of a much greater discovery: iron ore. The rich deposits found here opened the first iron mines in Minnesota in 1884. Vermilion Ash reflects this historical journey with its smooth texture and soft, ash-colored hues, echoing the rugged beauty of the wilderness that grew after the mines closed in 1967.
