Gunflint Oak
Inspired by the Gunflint Iron Range, originally explored for silver, this oak features a wirebrushed texture that mimics the rugged landscape and layered iron oxide deposits of the region. While the mining boom never fully materialized due to the economic panic of 1893, the area’s rich iron history is preserved in its natural beauty. Gunflint Oak's textured surface reflects the rugged, raw qualities of the Gunflint Trail, leading to the historical Paulson Mine. Its varied, deep grain brings a sense of history and endurance, just like the layers of iron hidden beneath the landscape.
