    It’s Us vs. Them

    Us is Musolf’s Engineered flooring products:

    Owens 1/2” has a 2.5 or 3.5mm wear layer and the 5/8” has a 4.5mm wear layer;

    Boen has a 2.5 or 3.5 mm wear layer, depending on which style you choose;

    Sheoga engineered flooring has a 5.25mm wear layer

    Them is the flooring that has a 1mm, or less, wear layer.

    When they sell you these floors they tell you they are recoatable, which is true, some are, what they don’t tell you is if you drop something or scratch it you have to replace the floor. You can’t resand and finish them!

    Here at Lon’s we sell a floor that will last a lifetime! Like the hardwood floors your Grandparents had in their house! So when building a new home be sure to take a look at the wear layer of the floor to make sure it can be resanded. Your home is one of the largest investments you will make – make sure you are getting your money’s worth.

    When you purchase an engineered REAL WOOD floor from Musolf’s you can have 100% confidence that you are living on at least 2.5mm – and up to 5.25mm – of workable surface. All of these floors can be re-sanded more than once!

    The wear layer on our Engineered flooring products is equal or nearly equal to a solid floor. You get the benefits of engineered flooring AND you have your floor for a lifetime!
